Behind the Scenes

I have been so busy with trying to many ends meet and find what works, that I have very much neglected this blog. I began making created items to sell as you may remember. I was doing okay. Good times and bad. This year has been the worst as of date. But I have remained busy. LOL!
I was blessed with a website last month and am hoping to have you stop by and check it out. Maybe comment on what you like best and don't like most. It will take time to climb to the top pages of google, Ping and others, but it could climb faster with help from viewers like you.
Just visit when you have a second. everestranchcreations.com and it could help me grow in many ways.
Please check it out. Return from time to time and if you want something unique as in "Just For You", contact me and I will see what I can do for you.
Thanks for stopping by and reading whats on my mind at this time.
Blessings~ Judith

Prayers Needed

Please pray for Bambi(my daughter) and her family, and the greater Portland area. There are multiple massive wildfires that are burning rapidly in the Columbia Gorge This area is known world wide for its wind surfing, meaning wind is a huge contributor to this fire spreading. At this time it's on the Oregon side of the Columbia River (the state border), but officials are preparing for it to cross over into WA.

Please pray for rain, that's expected Thursday, to come early, and for a miracle in this area. Tomorrow's temperatures should drop into the 80s as a heat wave ends, but the winds will not ease without God's divine intervention in this area.

Also, pray for protection over Bonneville Dam which is in the middle of the fire zone, supplying power to the entire PNW, and even to you in SoCal! No idea the ramifications of what fire damage would do, but I'm sure we'd all feel them!

It appears I’ve been lost, and truth be told, it was rather needed.

Sometimes in life we get so caught up in keeping up with The Jones’, we forget how to focus on the here and now. We loose a bit of who we are, what we stand for, and where we’re headed.

I’ve been away from the blog for almost two year now, and while I don’t know what I’ve filled 690 days with (how has it been that

long?!), I do know it was a season I needed to have. The Lord is so good to us, in all seasons, and I love being able to look back and see what work He has done. Sure, in the moment it’s not always easy, and often we can’t grasp why His plan differs from our own, but all in all, I know He is in control.
Daughter and grandbabies
I’m still stitching away over at (ETSY), just not as often as I once did, and on the weekend I get to connect with other quilters. During the week, I’m often caught up into the hustle and bustle of being a housewife, a grandma, a small business owner, and gardener, all while trying to focus on being a daughter of the one true God.

Summer is in full swing, the weather is hot, the crops are ready for harvest, and I can’t wait to see what’s on the horizon!

Looks like I have the seasons covered here.
We will see how long that will take. Hopefully not long.

August Retreats-WIPs be gone

It was that time of year again, when long lost friends gather for our yearly retreat.
I have been working on a Dresdan Plate for three years now and I have got to the first border, but I have no pictures of it.
I do have photos of others finished projects though. I also have one that I have in the works, and is fitting for this time of year. I have shared before but so worth sharing again. BUGS, they are thriving in this heat!
missing four patch in three different sizes.

Now I will hook up with Angie over here, and see what everyone has in the works.
What have you worked on in your last retreat?

Auction for HeartLine WIP

I made this a couple of years ago and was not sure what to do with it.
This summer in my Summer Bible Fellowship bible study, I was prompted to offer it to the ministry of Heart Line Ministries, a pro-life agency, that our bible group has helped support.
I wanted to help in some way and so I suggested a raffle.
The monies will go to Heart Line and help more than just one person or family.
I am excited to see how many tickets will sell before July 30.
Who will be the lucky winner will be exciting as well and I am so glad I have found a purpose for this lovely quilt. So It is almost a completed WIP that is going on weekly over at A Quilting Reader's Garden.
What are you doing for your excitement this summer?

New N Cute WIP's for Etsy

Well it has been a couple of weeks since I have been able to show and share, but I went to Tuesday Tea this last week and took another teapot cozy to one of my friends.
made to order

She showed it to the owner and we may be selling them thru her Victorian Tea House, yay!
So that caused me to go shopping.
I found this super cute fabric and had to, just had to, make a tea pot cozy out of it.
It turned out adorable.

I will be making more and adding them to my etsy shop.
could be reversible

What colors would you like to wrap a teapot cozy with?
Have a great weekend,
Judith

Table Runner for Teresa- WIP

My very first time
I have been enjoying Tuesday Tea's for about a year now. We go once a month.
I was invited by a group of wonderful ladies who I do bible studies with.
enjoying fellowship
We go to Barbara's Victorian Tea House and have a wonderfully blessed time.
monthly birthday lunch
I have been going because a lovely sister in the Lord has made it possible for me to attend.
So I wanted to give her a gift of gratitude and appreciation for her gift.
I made her this.
And she loves it.
I am so glad I am blessed to have such wonderful godly women for friends.
Just wanted to share with you all, and hope you have wonderful friends like Angie to get together with often.
Have a great weekend.

WIP's Be Gone with this Pillow Cover

I was commissioned to make a sample for my place of employment.
I have not ever made a decorative pillow cover, with piping and zipper closures.
I finished it today and will take it to work on my next work day.
It will look nice in my guest room, when it comes home.
Hope you have been able to get some sewing done today.

Towne Purse- Up-sized for WIP's be gone

This week I have had many unfinished projects going.
Two wallet orders that are in waiting for fabric to arrive are just a couple of them.
But I did get something that has been in the works for years completed.
I have had this fabric quilted for over six years with this Lazy Girl Design , Towne Purse in mind.

But I have recently learned how to put in an internal zippered pocket. So I added two of them. One on each side behind other pockets.
I also made it about two inches larger all the way around, so I could carry my bible and or iPad, and of course a bottle of water.
With ten pockets and three zippers, I feel good about carrying it.
I also finished another wallet for inventory for my etsy shop.
I will be going to San Diego with a group of friends next week and just maybe, they will think my bag is as pretty as all their Vera Bradley totes.
What do you think?
I am linking to Angie's for WIP's be-gone.
